whats the trick whats the trick

I'm new to the game of auto glass. My business is only five months old and I'm still trying to figure out how to waive customers deductables like the big glass shops. I'm the only real auto glass shop so i need to get a leg up on the mobile auto glass shops that come here from other, bigger towns that will waive $250 deductable. All my friends that own other glass shops in other areas told me to sign the insurance contracts. Was that not the thing to do?
