AUTO GLASS SHOP Checklist For Collision Repair Shops |

| The quality of repairs you provide for your customers is superior. You need to be sure that a quality and safe repair doesn't stop at the "belt line". When you subcontract autoglass replacement, the company(s) you use must provide the same superior work. |

The checklist below will give you the facts you need to know before allowing any glass shop to do work on your customer's cars. As you know, a company "values" their product or services based on specific features. You lose when the company make promises they can't keep. Ultimately the consumer loses when the process involves artificial or arbitrary standards and practices. |
| 1. | Only OEM glass, parts & adhesives. |
| 2. | Use Two tech installation. |
| 3. | Have OE adhesive manufacturer certified installers who are trained and skilled in the proper use of primers and adhesives. |
| 4. | Provide a written autoglass replacement procedure as well as a written adhesive usage policy. |
| 5. | Know how to identify existing rust and/or corrosion and document it. |
| 6. | Know how to repair rust and corrosion safely and properly. (including the use of primers) |
| 7. | Do their work in a climate controlled environment. The dynamics of a proper and safe glass replacement as well as curing times are greatly affected in temperatures below 40 degrees. |
| 8. | Know the manufacturer's recommended safe drive away time... and will make sure your customer knows it. |
| 9. | Will respond within the time frame you need for repairs. (Timing is critical) |
| 10. | Take proper time for a safe installation. |
| 11. | Follow manufacturer's specifications. |
| 12. | Know and follow airbag safety procedures. |
| 13. | Provide a lifetime transferable warranty on all their work. |
| 14. | Restore the car to pre-loss condition. |
| 15. | Thoroughly clean and inspect their work. |
